Although not as bold as many people were, my makeup was on the bolder side for me and I just wanted it to look right. I stood up straight and smoothed out my dress before pulling on my heels. The cut of the dress made some of the smaller scars that were flecked across my back visible but I still kept the scars on my shoulders and ankles hidden. I knew Shane didn't care but I still wasn't comfortable with all of the public seeing them. I walked outside and waited my the door of my dorm for Shane. All he had told me was that we were going to New York but that was all I knew. |

I wore a white button up collar shirt with a plain black tie and black dress pants with black dress shoes. I looked in the mirror. My mom used to love it when I dressed up like this. I grabbed my wallet and phone and headed out to meet Kat. When I saw her I couldn't help but smile. "You," I paused. "Look absolutely stunning." I breathed out with a smile. I pulled out my car keys and walked her over to my car.

I smiled as I started the car. I was nerouse on the inside though. I took a deep breath and pulled out of the academy's parking lot and headed towards New York. It was a longish drive but between us talking and stuff it went by quickly. Finally we were in the city. I looked around at all the lights as it was getting dark. "It's pretty." I stated

"20 minutes outside of Boston. Everyone jokes about my slight Boston accent. Your the first to not really pick it up." I said. "New York was really only a few hours away but I never got to go until now." I said.

I nodded. "I noticed but I just assumed and I never really asked." I smiled. Finally through the traffic I pulled into a tiny little parkinglot by the bay. "Ready for a farry ride?" I asked with a smile.

"Really?" I asked excitedly. I looked out at the water and the ferry that was boarding people. "Yes." I smiled and stepped out of the car.

I smiled. "I hoped you would like it." I said locking up the car and leading her over to the farry. I handed the guy our tickets and we stepped on.
