I squeezed Shane's hand from under the table. "How's hockey?" I asked Brady to change the subject. "It's great. Team captain now." He said with a true smile. I smiled. "That's great." I said.

I leaned over. "It's fine." I told her quietly with a smile. At least she was still on my side. Not that they were real sides but still. I didn't want her to hate me.

Brady sighed. "Sorry." He said. I shook my head and glanced at Shane. "Not me." I said. He turned to Shane. "Sorry that got a little tense dude." He said then added. "But I still can kick your ass if I need to." I sighed. That was as good as it was going to get with Brady.
